Buku is back and it’s better with a lineup so diverse, it’s bound to sell out. Last year Buku was a hit catering to all music aficionados form Future, Above and Beyond, to those who like to get the funk down with some Pretty lights and his live band. This year they’ve brought the heat, and we’re not talking about the liquor blanket you’ll have walking the streets of Nola, we’re talking about the lineup.
Deadmau5, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Jauz, Grizmatik, I mean honestly, I can go on forever about this, and let me tell you, the signs along Bourbon street won’t be the only thing lit this year.
Buku proved it’s not playing around this year when it comes to music, don’t even get me started on the venue. Same place as always, Mardi Gras World gives you that real Nola experience and vibes with 2 of it’s stages within the warehouses where they hold the very floats that go down those streets.
Not to mention the S.S Buku boat on site which serves as the bottomless booze cruise for VIP goers to fuel their needs throughout the festival. The festival also has art installations along different parts, so when you just need a little break you can catch the wandering acts of art along the way.
Biggest perk from this fest? The travel packages. You’ll get a 2 day GA band, 2 night stay at a local hotel AND some cool limited Buku merch starting at $979! Oh, and by the way last year came with a cool cantine to refill your water which FYI they have free water stations throughout the grounds.
This festival came back on my list of things to-do this year because honestly, last year was such a hit. Between the hand grenades, loads of street art, Po’ Boys (google this and order it if you haven’t tried this!!) and such a wild lineup, Buku and Nola was a crazy good time, I’ll promise you that. If you want something new, good vibes, booze (did I mention all the booze in that city?!) Buku should be one on your list this year.
