Due to the popularity Downtown Miami has gained, many condos and apartments are taking over different parts. Resulting in shutting down many night clubs in order to get the space they need. Rumor has it, they are going to create a huge shopping mall surrounding the new condos and apartments.
Grand Central put out many shows, all memorable. Local and experienced talent have performed in this venue and the drinks were always on point. This week marks the final bit of Grand Central that was remaining to be torn down. Maybe Miami cares more for money and looks than for its club life scene. If they keep opening night clubs like LIV and STORY, where are the broke people suppose to stay? HOME.
Many other nightclubs like Mekka and Mansion have come to an end as well. Hopefully Miami can recover from this. My prayers go out to club Space, which is one of the venues left to play similarity of music.
REST IN PEACE & PIECES Grand Central.
